What we are offering -
We are offering a completed consumer electronic product design ready for manufacture, that as a product can be sold in stores and on-line. It is low cost, simple to manufacture/assemble, has a simple BOM, and is ready for final productization and manufacture. All manufacturing operations can be outsourced if desired and no special fabricator criteria are required. We can supply working alpha level reference units. The product can be manufactured and in stores by start of the 4th quarter of this year.
- A small USB inkjet writing pen, a handheld printer
- A computer accessory printer for desktop, mobile PC, PDA & smart phone markets
- USB powered from a USB 2.x source (a separate power source option is available)
- Writes at 96 DPI, with a 1/8 inch swath height
- Swath length up to 12 inches
- Prints both text and graphics
- Uses a low cost HP inkjet cartridge, simple cartridge change
- Uncomplicated, plain, easy to use host software
- Multiple product growth paths, in both product shapes and features

What we are seeking -
We are seeking a firm to manufacture and sell the product under license. Manufacture can be completely oursourced if desired, so our primary interest is in finding a firm with marketing, promotional and sales skills, and experience in marketing consumer electronic products.
Channels and markets -
Primary product description : A computer accessory
Retail stores and related websites : (USA) BestBuy, Staples, OfficeMax and similar chains
Web only stores : TigerDirect, Amazon and similar
Specialty sales channels : Teacher's aid, medical & hospitals, and others. The product is ideal for development of supporting third party software packages tailored to specific user groups.
What we will provide -
3D CAD files as solid models and as dimensioned prints, schematic, full BOM, embedded software and fonts, host software, and up to 50 alpha level printers as desired (using SLA prototype plastic parts)
What has to be done to manufacture the product -
Finalise choices in colors and some styling details
Finalise some technical choices
Generate a plastic mold set and make plastic parts
Fabricate and populate printed circuit boards
Handle regulatory verifications
Generate user documentation
Arrange final assembly and packaging
